Gary & Carol have been working together for nearly 20 years, following through a passion about involving children in music and movement that began when their own children were very young and music was a big part of family life. What began, part time, as a desire to share the joys of music and dance through theatre in education performances led to Gary and Carol specializing in early childhood music, movement & dance in-service workshops. They produce multicultural & original resources for early childhood teachers, carers and parents. Theatre in education performances for young children & family dances are still part of their work and a great pleasure for them.
Gary and Carol feel strongly that music, movement and the creative arts assist in promoting a richness and joy in life that adds to individual wellbeing and family and community health.
Their enthusiasm for early childhood education involves them in teacher training for early childhood professionals within Australia and internationally each year.
An ongoing interest in health and wellbeing has meant that Yoga and alternative health has also been an ongoing interest and source of study for many years and is now reflected in workshops for adults as well as children in wellness and relaxation issues.
Their CDs and BOOKs promote fun, easy, developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse music and movement ideas. They are continually developing new materials and resources to support early childhood teaching in ways that positively support children's developmental learning and long-term health.
Gary and Carol are involved in the Orff Schulwerk Association and this has influenced their approach to music movement.
Current resources include: Songs from Around the World for Young Children, Dances for Young Children from Around the World: Volumes 1 & 2, Music for Little People 0-3 Years, Favourite Songs and YogaPlay and Relaxation for Young Children.

CAROL
Carol trained and worked as a teacher and social worker before concentrating on early childhood music and movement. Her experience in classical dancing, jazz and folk dance dance led to training as a recreational folk dance teacher in 1995, through Folk Dance Australia. It also developed an enduring love of multicultural music and dance. More recently, Carol was able to extend her interest in young children’s learning and new brain research by completing a Masters in Early Childhood Studies from Macquarie University focusing on movement and learning for young children. She recently returned from the U.S. after participating in a course on music and movement to enhance learning, held as part of the Summer Institute for Seattle Pacific University. She has15 years experience working with young children and training teachers and carers in music and movement.
Carol has been a keen yoga student for 18 years, and enjoys a daily yoga session and loves to swim in the ocean. She sings with a local accapella choir and plays recorder with a group of friends each week, trying not to allow work to interfere too often.
